WHY FILTER DRINKING WATER FILTERING MACHINES WITH CERAMIC FILTERS
Two thirds of the human body is water. Therefore, it is vital that the water we drink is clean and free from the potentially harmful contaminants which commonly find their way into drinking water supplies. The simplest, most effective, low-cost way ensure that drinking water is of the highest standard is to use a filter.
WHY USE WATER FILTERING MACHINES WITH DOULTON CERAMIC FILTERS
Ceramics started to become widely used for the filtration of drinking water in the 19th century. At that time, cholera outbreaks were a common occurrence in London. Doulton & Co., with their factory on the banks of the River Thames, were in the perfect position to join the fight against water-borne disease.
In general, the smaller the pore size of a filter and the more complicated the path the water takes through the filter medium, the more effective it is at removing particles from water. A ceramic filter has a small and complex pore structure, making it an ideal filter medium.
Doulton has taken ceramic technology to the next level. Doulton are able to accurately control the pore structure of our ceramic drinking water filters, ensuring excellent product consistency. You can, as a result of our exacting standards, expect the same high quality from our filters every time they are used.
HIGHLY EFFECTIVE
Highly effective barrier to particles and pathogens: Doulton drinking water filters have a pore structure which has an Absolute filtration rating (defined as >99.99%) of 0.9 microns (less than 1000 nth of a millimetre). The sub-micron filtration the ceramic achieves is capable of removing almost all known particles and bacteria from drinking water.
Minerals maintained: Using a Doulton ceramic drinking water filter does not remove those minerals from the water, which are beneficial to health.
WHAT FILTERATION DO WE USE
Agua Coolers use a double filtration system which on most of our water dispensers are internally mounted within the unit.
Stage 1- We fit a Doulton sediment filter that removes up to 5 microns of particles and metals that you can find in mains water.
Stage 2 -The Doulton ceramic filters are fitted. The Sterasyl ceramic filter is fitted with activated carbon which is very effective at removing chlorine and organics from water.
Benefits
The filter has the benefits of Sterasyl (removal of particles, pathogenic bacteria, cysts etc. with additional chlorine and organics removal capabilities.
